Stay with me, Lord, for it is necessary to have
You present so that I do not forget You.
You know how easily I abandon You.
Stay with me, Lord, because I am weak
and I need Your strength,
that I may not fall so often.
Stay with me, Lord, for You are my life,
and without You, I am without fervor.
Stay with me, Lord, for You are my light,
and without You, I am in darkness.
Stay with me, Lord, to show me Your will.
Stay with me, Lord, so that I hear Your voice
and follow You.
Stay with me, Lord, for I desire to love You
very much, and always be in Your company.
Stay with me, Lord, if You wish me to be faithful to You.
Stay with me, Lord, for as poor as my soul is,
I want it to be a place of consolation for You, a nest of love.
Stay with me, Jesus, for it is getting late and the day is coming to a close, and life passes;
death, judgment, eternity approaches. It is necessary to renew my strength,
so that I will not stop along the way and for that, I need You.
It is getting late and death approaches,
I fear the darkness, the temptations, the dryness, the cross, the sorrows.
O how I need You, my Jesus, in this night of exile!
Stay with me tonight, Jesus, in life with all its dangers. I need You.
Let me recognize You as Your disciples did at the breaking of the bread,
so that the Eucharistic Communion be the Light which disperses the darkness,
the force which sustains me, the unique joy of my heart.
Stay with me, Lord, because at the hour of my death, I want to remain united to You,
if not by communion, at least by grace and love.
Stay with me, Jesus, I do not ask for divine consolation, because I do not merit it,
but the gift of Your Presence, oh yes, I ask this of You!
Stay with me, Lord, for it is You alone I look for, Your Love, Your Grace, Your Will, Your Heart,
Your Spirit, because I love You and ask no other reward but to love You more and more.
With a firm love, I will love You with all my heart while on earth
and continue to love You perfectly during all eternity. Amen.
We want to introduce you to someone very special. Father David Beaumont is a Capuchin missionary priest, who is walking in the footsteps of Padre Pio. Just like our favorite Saint, he felt a religious calling at a young age. He was an altar boy at 10 years old, entered the novitiate at 15 and was ordained into the Capuchin Order at 18. As he prepared for priesthood at Our Lady of Angels Province in California, he was deeply touched by the plight of refugees from El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua and migrant workers from Mexico.
30 years ago, Father David was asked to join the Province’s missionary team in northern Mexico. Little did he know how his life was going to change. From that point on, Father David has dedicated his life to bringing faith, hope and joy to indigenous tribes. For centuries after the Jesuit expulsion in 1767, the Pimas, Mayos, Yaquis and Guarijios had no priests to minister to them and their Catholic faith was based on oral traditions. They worshiped outside at makeshift altars constructed of rocks.
When Father David first arrived, there were no paved roads and no electricity. His first two years were spent visiting remote mountain villages, often riding a donkey for eight to nine hours along narrow mountain tracks just to get there. The native population lived in extreme poverty, living in shacks and caves. People were terrorized by dangerous drug cartels operating in the area. Murder, alcoholism, and suicide robbed many children of their fathers.
Little by little, through his great love of their culture and by learning their languages, Father David became a trusted friend. He was present at hundreds of births and baptisms, saw these children grow up, get married, have families of their own and be part of the next generation. Some of these children found their religious calling under Father David’s guidance and have since become priests.
One of Father David’s labors of love was the translation of the Holy Mass, Catechism, and Psalms into four native languages. He became a father figure to hundreds of children. More than just looking after their spiritual needs, he became their advocate. He worked together with the government to bring running water to the villages and initiate new farming projects to make the indigenous tribes self-sufficient.
He embodies the Capuchin values of love and caring for the neediest, often putting himself between harm and his people. Much like Padre Pio, he has worked towards alleviating their suffering and giving them hope for a better future.
For the past 15 years, we have teamed up with Father David to help him in his lifelong mission. The Padre Pio Foundation of America, because of YOUR generosity, has played a huge part in building chapels, spirituality centers and seminaries to secure the next generation of priests in Northern Mexico. Now anyone with a spiritual calling has the opportunity to receive a religious education at a seminary so there will always be priests who can minister to their people.

O Sacred Heart of Jesus, for whom it is impossible not to have compassion on the afflicted, have pity on us miserable sinners and grant us the grace which we ask of you, through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, your tender mother and ours.
Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope! To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears! Turn, then, O most gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this, our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.”

Saint Pio and Saint Rocco, intercede for us
*Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

O Great St. Rocco, deliver us, we beseech thee, from the scourges of God;
through thy Intercessory, preserve our bodies from contagious diseases, and our souls from the contagion of sin.
Obtain for us salubrious air; but, above all, purity of heart.
Assist us to make good use of health, to bear suffering with patience; and, after thy example, to live in the practice of penance and charity, that we may one day enjoy the happiness which thou has merited by thy virtues.
St. Rocco, pray for us (say three times)
During your travels on earth,
God worked His miraculous healing
through your intercession.
Many were cured of the plague
from your prayers and
the sign of the cross.
We beseech you Saint Rocco
to intercede before
the throne of God;
Send forth a blessing of
protection from
Contagious diseases and
the Coronavirus.
Bless us Heavenly Father
with your healing grace.
We ask this in the name of your
Divine Son, Jesus.
Amen
Dear God, You generously blessed Your servant, St. Pio of Pietrelcina, with the gifts of the Spirit.
You marked his body with the five wounds of Christ Crucified, as a powerful witness to the saving Passion and Death of Your Son.
Endowed with the gift of discernment, St. Pio labored endlessly in the confessional for the salvation of souls.
With reverence and intense devotion in the celebration of Mass, he invited countless men and women to a greater union with Jesus Christ
in the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist.
Through the intercession of St. Pio of Pietrelcina,
I confidently beseech You to grant me
the grace of (here state your petition).
Glory be to the Father… (three times). Amen.
Oh my Jesus, give me Your strength when my weak nature rebels against the distress and suffering of this life of exile, and enable me to accept everything with serenity and peace.
With my whole strength I cling to Your merits, Your sufferings, Your expiation, and Your tears, so that I may be able to cooperate with You in the work of salvation.
Give me strength to fly from sin, the only cause of Your agony, Your sweat of blood, and Your death. Destroy in me all that displeases You and fill my heart with the fire of Your holy love and all Your sufferings.
Clasp me tenderly, firmly, close to You that I may never leave You alone in Your cruel Passion. I ask only for a place of rest in Your Heart. Amen.
O Lord, we ask for a boundless confidence and trust in Your divine mercy, and the courage to accept the crosses and sufferings which bring immense goodness to our souls and that of Your Church.
Help us to love You with a pure and contrite heart, and to humble ourselves beneath Your cross, as we climb the mountain of holiness, carrying our cross that leads to heavenly glory.
May we receive You with great faith and love in Holy Communion, and allow You to act in us as You desire for your greater glory.
O Jesus, most adorable Heart and eternal fountain of Divine Love, may our prayer find favor before the Divine Majesty of Your heavenly Father.

Every day at the Foundation we feel the guiding hand of Padre Pio. Just like the time a credit card would not process despite several attempts. We called our benefactor, Francine, to resolve the issue. When we checked the numbers, they were all correct. We tried again and THIS time, the card worked without any problem. Francine joked that Padre Pio must have wanted us to call her! As we chatted, we asked her how she had learned about Padre Pio and then she told us about her neighbor, Claire.
At 92 years of age, Claire has not only been battling lymphoma for seven years, but the disks in her back are in bad shape. One night she was watching a program about Padre Pio, when she noticed a new lump on her neck. Claire decided to appeal to Padre Pio. “If you want me to spread the word about you, make this lump go away,” she asked. Three days later, the Claire’s X – Ray lump had vanished. But this is not where her story ends.
Claire’s back had become unbearably painful, making it hard for her to walk, yet surgery was too dangerous at her advanced age. The doctor suggested a cortisone injection in her spine to alleviate the pain, but this was not without risks either. She might even be paralyzed if he didn’t hit the right spot. “Padre Pio will direct you,” Claire told the doctor confidently. She always carries a tiny metal statue of Saint Pio wherever she goes and wanted to keep it close during the procedure, but that wasn’t allowed. After some negotiating, the statue was wrapped in a towel and placed under Claire’s head. The procedure went ahead, and x – rays of her back were taken.
When the medical staff came back to tell Claire that everything had gone well, the nurse had tears in her eyes and the doctor seemed shaken. As soon as Claire saw the x – ray, she knew why. The image of her Padre Pio statue had mysteriously appeared on the x – ray and pointed to the injection site on her spine. The statue itself was far away in the towel under Claire’s head! Nobody was surprised that the injection was successful.
Least of all Claire, who believed that Padre Pio had plans for her and would keep her safe. Claire set to work to keep her promise and started telling everyone about Padre Pio, including Francine. Soon, word about the miracle spread. The parish priest, Father Kennedy enlarged the x – ray to show his congregation and told them how Padre Pio interceded for people to stop their suffering. Now Claire wants YOU to know about her miracle and how you too can spread devotion to our dear Saint, Padre Pio.

“There are many stories but this one is short and sweet. I was sitting in adoration and felt very close to St. Pio at that time and I was feeling silly, so I said Fr. Pio if you are here with me, have someone send me a dozen roses here at adoration! Now no one knew I was there – no fam no friends. Oddly I felt confidant about my crazy request. Then I looked down and realized the sweater I put on that day had the design of a dozen roses on it. I hadn’t even thought of it when I put it on that morning. I was floored. Praise St Pio!”
No trip to San Giovanni Rotondo would be complete without meeting the Director of the Hospital to identify how the Padre Pio Foundation of America can step in where the need is greatest. Our Executive Director Julie Fitts Ritter learned that the Hospital was leasing ultrasound equipment because their ancient machine had broken down. Your incredible generosity allowed us to purchase a new ultrasound machine for them!
‘Clown therapy’ still brings laughter and cheer to countless sick children who are undergoing cancer treatment. It has become such an integral part of the oncology ward that nobody can imagine ever abandoning it, so now the clowns have become part of the whole hospital. Earlier in March, Pope Francis came to meet them!
Again, because of your generosity, we were able to fund a pilot project to transport cancer patients between Bari and the Padre Pio hospital for free. Realizing the huge benefit, another benefactor of the hospital stepped forward to donate a shuttle bus so this service could continue.
