Continue Padre Pio’s Works of Love

On May 5, 1956, Padre Pio’s dream of opening a hospital came true. He founded this hospital to bring healing and relief to the sick and suffering in the Puglia region and southern Italy, a region that, at the time, had very limited access to quality medical care. He called the hospital La Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza; the Home for the Relief of Suffering.
While La Casa remains a shining example of Padre Pio’s “Earthly” mission, it is just one of many works supported by the PPFOA. Through your selflessness, we are able to help those wherever Padre Pio’s love is needed most.
