Your Giving Tuesday Mission: New Beds for La Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza

La Casa Sollievo Della Sofferenza was founded by Padre Pio, built with Divine Providence and opened in May 1956. It was his most important work here on earth. It stands proudly in the Gargano mountains in Italy next to the friary which was Padre Pio’s home for 50 years and Our Lady of Grace church. It is a place that was near and dear to his heart. The hospital has been his legacy of love for the “relief of suffering”.

But Padre Pio’s hospital is in desperate need for more new beds.

La Casa has always been a not-for-profit hospital, providing care for anybody, even if they cannot afford to pay. It depends on benefactors like YOU to keep it updated and renovated in order to provide the best medical care possible. Most of the beds they have now are over 30 years old. These beds need to be replaced with new beds with modern technology.

With YOUR kindness and generosity, we will be able to continue Padre Pio’s “earthly mission” by providing much needed beds to La Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza. In your charity, you are caring for the same people Padre Pio loved – the suffering and less fortunate.

No matter the size of your gift, YOU will be part of this wonderful project. The priests and sisters at the hospital will keep you in their prayers and you will be remembered in our Christmas Novena of Masses beginning on Christmas Eve.
